A long time ago (around '86) in a galaxy far far away (Los Angeles), I worked at Disneyland as a cook. I actually was picked in a lottery to test Star Tours when it was being developed. We would show up and ride it without sound, then no video or audio - just motion, then motion and sound but no vid; you get the idea. By the time it was open to the public, I had experienced it in one form or another easily 25 times.
The thing i remember liking the most was how the line to get in was all steel ramps and studs and posts, so you could see the path, but all the cool machines, robots, and bits didn't go in until the very end. Being 'backstage' brought a whole different perspective.
Best seat? - back corners.
