The wonders of the local Wookiee never cease....
« on: March 21, 2009, 10:52:39 PM »
The local Wookiee, aka Rick, has surpassed my expectations, yet again. Not only has he been very helpful n getting my Mando done, but he painted my helmet and made it look really good. The results had way exceeded my expectations! I mean, I knew it was going to be good. But what I got was something truly GREAT! I am in awe of just how awesome this thing turned out....

I give you these:

As I said.... the local Wookiee has outdone himself with this paint job! What else can I say? Rick is the man (err, Wookiee)!!!

Not just any bounty hunter, but a Mandalorian Warrior!!!

See, I knew there was a bit of Merc in you.... no wonder you knew what I was saying in that thread on the KB section of the Rebel Legion forum.

With everything that I wanted to put into it..... I think the overall cost will be close to $700 - $800. I'd actually have to itemize it out right now, and my brain just isn't working right now. Sleepiness is setting in!

The armor was $120 (Jango Fett style)
The helmet was $150 (Sgt Fang)

Everything else is the miscellaneous stuff that is subject to each individual preference. Just know that this is a custom Mando costume, which holds no place in the 501st or Rebel Legion. In other words, it is not an approvable costume within these groups. I did this costume because I have always wanted to do a custom Mando costume... that and I am joining the Mando Mercs club, too.

The Mando Mercs are the only club that does custom Mando costumes.

Ya know, Jedi are the sworn enemies of the Mandalorian Warriors. I'll be more than happy to execute order 66 for free!  :P

Wolverine..... nah. It was very large kitty kat!  Apparently, it's owner didn't observe the local leash laws. Now I have a prize pelt!

Well, you know me, I am all about giving the credit where it belongs. If someone comes up to me and says that is really awesome armor/helmet, I love the paint job, I'm going to tell them that it was all you, my friend!

Like I said, I knew that it would be a top notch paint job, but when you showed me the blaster rifle, I was really impressed. I knew that if the rifle was that good, the helmet had to be better. When you unveiled the helmet, my mouth completely dropped in awe! What you did was above and beyond any of my expectations. To say that I was impressed is a severe understatement!

Now I have the task of matching my armor to the helmet..... wish me luck!
