Some of you may know that I will be hosting a table at OryCon this year. The purpose of this is basically for a recruiting drive for CCG.
I would appreciate any help that can be offered. What I really need are promotional materials, and here is where you come in. I bought a photo album yesterday for holding up to 208 4x6 inch photos.
I would appreciate it if anyone has any 4x6 photos of them in their costumes to send to me. If you have multiple costumes, that would be great as well. The purpose of the photo album is to show the visitors of the table how accurate our costumes are, that we aren't just a bunch of folks in cheap Halloween costumes.
I think it will add, significantly, to the table. So, please contact me right away if you can assist in this project. OryCon is just a couple of weeks away, Nov 21-23.
On a side note, I will also welcome the Rebel costume pics as well, since we all tend to work together for the same goals, I will recruit for Kashyyyk Base, as well as Cloud City Garrison.
The staffing for the table is already full. But should anyone want to come down and check it out, I would be happy to see you guys. For those who don't know what OryCon is, it is a convention here in Portland that takes place every year at the Portland Mariott (on Naito Parkway). It is basically a weekend event where geeks from all spectrums get together, usually "furries" and other fantasy-type costumers. The only lame thing about them is that they have a policy of no weapons / no masks... in Imperial translation, no blasters / no buckets. I will be there in my Imperial Officer's uniform. I will have a couple others, tentatively, as Imperial Technicians from ROTJ.
There is a hospitality room ( for convention attendees to get their food and drink), gaming rooms, merchant's room, workshops and the like. I believe the price of admission for the event is Fri $25, Sat $35, Sun $25. Admission is required to get into the exclusive areas, aforementioned areas, but the fan tables (where I am located) is in the common areas. Last year I walked around the fan table areas and nobody bothered to check me for my admission pass. The only time I was asked was when I was peeking inside the merchant's room. Not that I would support cheating any entity out of money, but one could wander around the common areas and not pay the admission. I leave that up to everyone's individual moral code!
