Another TK newbie - and now officially TK-3972 !!!
« on: October 13, 2007, 05:08:49 PM »
Hello, my name is Nimrod (no... really) and I live in Vancouver, WA. I've been a Star Wars fan since opening day 1977  and was finally able to fulfill my destiny this month. I just finished constructing my TK armor last week and am currently working on the voice electronics for my helmet. I am a 30-something Electronics Engineering nerd with a wife and two wonderful little girls. I look forward to meeting all of my fellow Star Wars fans and "trooping" for the fans and kids in our communities.

Welcome Nimster to Cloud City Garrison.  It would be great if you would apply for the 501st and join in on our events.  You may find the application here, as well, you can contact Todd (tbbaker69) who deals with memberships.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact me through PM or ask around the boards.  Please make sure you read up on the rules governing posts and threads on our boards.  Welcome!

Thanks for the welcomes everyone. I sent application for the 501st about a week ago so it is currently "in process". I'm really excited to get my official TK designation  :D

Back to tweaking the armor... trying to get rid of some of the pesky velcro strapping.

We have lots of mods for armor.  The velcro is NOT the way to go.  If you have any questions just ask.  I hope to have an armor party soon and that would be a good chance to see what we have done to make the armor work right!  I run with no velvro on my suits!
