Hello, my name is Nimrod (no... really) and I live in Vancouver, WA. I've been a Star Wars fan since opening day 1977 and was finally able to fulfill my destiny this month. I just finished constructing my TK armor last week and am currently working on the voice electronics for my helmet. I am a 30-something Electronics Engineering nerd with a wife and two wonderful little girls. I look forward to meeting all of my fellow Star Wars fans and "trooping" for the fans and kids in our communities.

Thanks for the welcomes everyone. I sent application for the 501st about a week ago so it is currently "in process". I'm really excited to get my official TK designation :D
Back to tweaking the armor... trying to get rid of some of the pesky velcro strapping.
-
We have lots of mods for armor. The velcro is NOT the way to go. If you have any questions just ask. I hope to have an armor party soon and that would be a good chance to see what we have done to make the armor work right! I run with no velvro on my suits!
-
WOOH! 100% Velcro Here!... Not the way to go, lol... *Someone pass the rivet gun*

LOL.. Martin uses duct tape affixed to the hair on his back, lower legs and I believe his buttocks as well... here's a photo of him in his thong armor! BTW, that is NOT an undersuit on him, that is an all hairsuit!

-
OH man, thats great! The ranks are swelling!!!
-
Hmmm better use a cream then to help make it go down-oh the troop ranks!Yeah that's great! :P
We're now over 50 troopers!!!Wooot!
-
time to mount a serious offensive against the Rebels in this area hm?
-
Indeed! Now all we need is to build a few E-webs and speeders for some extra fire power
-
I'll be working on the speeder soon (once the armor is finished) ;)
sorry to say it... but what is an e-web?
-
n00b!!!
-
yeeep i jsut watch the movies :)
-
We're now over 50 troopers!
Vader will like that....
DV
-
What?!?Alrighty it's back to boot camp for you trooper!
Well an E-Web is not something created by a freakishly massive spider from deep space, though there are giant space wasps...
An E-Web is a heavy repeating blaster that is one of the most powerful heavy weapons the Imperial Forces have,it can act as an Emplacement weapon or be broken down and moved in parts by Infantry. That's what the Snow Trooper's are putting together when their attempting to halt the Falcon's escape from Echo Base
Oh,don't want to think what the damage would have been like if they'd succeeded
-
THIS is an E-Web blaster canon:

It IS on my "to do list"!!
-
Gee.... do we have enough pictures of this E-Web???
-
You're right... I need to get some overhead and below shots!!
-
who wants to model it, lol. Okay i know what that is, i think i heard it called something else, elsewhere *shrug*
Who wants to toop around carring that BFG?
I wouldn't mind building the rocket launcher that the Storm Commandos have though :)
-
Man, that would look sweet in my garage!
Just gotta figure out where to put my wife's car :)
-
LOL... one doesn't "carry" that BFG... you would push it around as it would be on casters!
Yeah, the car thing... we park all our cars outside!!
-
Who wants to toop around carring that BFG?
That shouldn't be a problem for Tony!I mean,it can't be any heavier then an M60 right?
-
i dont think Tony would have a problem carrying that thing around... cant be any worse than that radio backpack he wore in the Starlight Parade!!!
-
Im sure Rick gets tired of carrying his bowcaster every once in a while... we could just have him squeeze his big wookie head into a TK helmet, and throw one of these bad boys in his arms, lol
-
There was a guy who built an e-web out of pvc pipe....
And I have thought about building the bazooka those Storm Commando's use..... started on it, but never finished (obviously).
