Doot doot doo. i'm happy, i got the back hump finished all except for the tank topper bits and clean up. I also got the shoulders done. All that is left is the bucket. Plus, my Rubies showed up today so i can get started on making paper templets from that and begin the build on my metal helmet! So exciting i tell ya. Heres pictures from todays work, enjoy.

The helmet build is going to be very challenging, but i think i can do it. I'll be making some adjustments to the measurements from the Rubies, narrow down the face a little and such. I think i will be able to build the metal components and then attach them to a Pro-Tech helmet i have. This would serve to make the helmet more comfortable and stable i think. Basically what i'd be doing is making a metal Biker Scout shell for an existing helmet. Doing this will also ensure that i build something that is going to fit my head ;)

Hey it's looking good, can't wait to see the finished product!

And yeah I think the traditional desert camo looks good..although the digital desert would look sweet!

Thanks Sith, i'm pretty torn as to what to do with the paint job, i'll sit down and really think about it when i get to it.
Last night i got most of the bucket build, all thats left is the face plate and visor, and the little details of course ;).
Sorry, forgot the camera again, but today i will have pictures, i promise :)

Bwahaha, heres the helmet, lots of good progress i think. The pictures sure do distort it. Still need to do all the clean up on it.
I'm going to do the second piece that goes around the lens with plastic, so i don't scratch the snow goggles.

i'm talking about our military digital camo, not Star Wars color schemes. Very torn on what to do with the paint job.

So is there a line? Cause I want a set when you're done. Mass production on these anyone?

I had the chance to see it in person Friday afternoon. It looks awesome. Dan says it's still 'raw', but it comes across totally different in metal. Very cool. Can't wait to see it in final form!  8)
