Darth Revan Costume
« on: December 04, 2012, 04:44:00 PM »
Hey Everybody, TB-9490 here. It's been SO LONG since I've been on the forums so I thought I would share a Costume I have recently acquired. My dream on owning a costume of my favorite Sith Lord is now a reality, Darth Revan! Wish I can find a more accurate lightsaber but this one will have to do for now. Still have to get this 501st Approved which I will be doing here soon, as soon as I repair and adjust it a bit. Took it with me for a test drive when I attended PAX Prime 2012, got quite a bit of attention while strolling around with my friend in his Darth Vader suit... heck we even danced to Dance Central 3 to "I will Survive", got that on film actually! If anyone wants to see it there's a link at the end. I couldn't see very well behind the mask and the visor's tinted so it made seeing the dance moves on the screen a bit difficult... never played any dance games that and I am a HORRIBLE dancer to begin with, lol! When the event was over, my straps were coming undone and the shoulder wrap/hood was all misaligned so I am trying to fix all that up for my approval pics. This pic was taken before that event.

This link is to our video which was filmed using a GoPro... ignore my friend who is the one filming bit of a motor mouth.

Hello! Looks like you've got a nice Revan on the way there. Talk to me first when you think your ready to submit, I'm the Flagship Eclipse Detachment leader, the GML's have to submit EU costumes up the chain for the LMO's to look at. ^_^ I also recommend putting a thread up on the Flagship forums, if you haven't already, since there are many Revan's that will be able to give you feedback on what worked for them ^_^

Hey everyone, thanks for the comments on my Revan. I think my Revan is ready for approval for the 501st! I have replaced my last Revan mask with a more detailed version that I think is really awesome and better then the last, this one actually gives me peripheral vision!!! Still the hood makes looking out the sides of my eyes difficult... whatever it looks awesome nonetheless. These are the most recent pics I have, the TK is also another project I've been working on it's not quite ready for approval yet, I need clips for the Thermal Detonator, correct abdomen buttons and I also need to get the helmet and armor to match colors, the Helmet is slightly a brighter white then the armor is. I still need to complete the Helmet that came with the kit! Anyways, I would appreciate any advice and comments.

It looks pretty good from what I can tell in your pic. I'm no longer privy to the LMO decisions since I'm not detachment leader for Flagship this year, but from what I can tell and from the other Revan's that came through, you should have very little problem, just make sure your pictures are really clear, bright and a plain background so they can make the details out.
