DVD Help please

As many know I have been trying to find, own really, a copy of Heart of the Empire(HotE).  I got to see the very first part of HotE at the picnic, but I had to leave (early) to get home. I did find a copy on ebay, here (<-Link), that day.

Has anyone made a purchase from the seller, hot_100?  If, disspite the 99.7% positive feedback, I should pass; who would you recommend on ebay?

when you have a 99.7% rating with almost 30,000 transactions, that is one heck of a good rating IMO.  The seller is based in Sydney, AUS do you know if that copy would play in your player? Buy it!

This topic was addressed before. I believe the format it has been released in is strictly PAL.

DO NOT BUY THIS VERSION !!!! I have also been trying to find it since the picnic, and purchased this one in a hurry. Luckily a friend pointed out to me that it will ONLY play in Aus/New Zeland players and I canceled the purchase before it shipped. I also want a copy if anyone finds out where to get them.........ol tony

PAL worked in your DVD player just fine Tony and it works in our crappy DVD player at home, that's the format our copy is in, and it should play in most computers. Our copy came from the Aussie guys.

with somefree software you can also convert it to NTSC

I know have an account with the Mercs forum and asked the local clan about it.  According to the Merc that brought the movie, that we played, it is PAL so there should be no problem; since there was no problem*.  Even, in my case, my DVD player has a PAL option in the submenu.

*= Was there? Again I only saw the first few minutes.

A lot of consumer DVD players (nowadays anyway) will work with bith NTSC and PAL. I'd say get it. And I'm sure that they have some sort of return policy if it didnt work. I could be wrong about that though.

Cool.   Did you have to change your system; from NTSC to PAL? See attachment.
