MISSION COMPLETE: 07.03.10: Oak Grove Coffee House!!!

Hi all:

Barry here. I'm back to help the endeavors of some friends who own a coffeehouse in historical downtown Oak Grove (That's not saying much the owner says... ha). They promote local artists, the high school I work for and the community. Plans are to expand the premises to include a deck out back, but, they want to have fun while doing so. They are asking for a few troopers, Leia, a Fett, Chewie and I'll do Vader. They'd like to attract families. She would like to advertise in the local paper, etc.

This is next weekend, folks. Looking good! I stopped in today and they're doing well advertising in the area. They also called it in to the Oregonian - "Community Events"? Don't know where that part is. Says it should be in tomorrow's (Saturday) paper... I don't get it. Someone wanna be on the lookout?

FYI Update: The changing area has been relocated to about 2 blocks away rather than a half block due to my school not being open for the summer.


Remember, this is an independent troop, so costumes do not have to be canon, but no garbage bags/tin foil either - so, let's have fun!

Ok, final details.

Meet at the coffee house. There isn't a lot of places in front but the street isn't very wide, so park on either side,  then we'll make the 3 block drive to the duplex we're changing at. There are plenty of spaces there. We'll walk back.

They'd like us to start at 1:00 -  I will be at the coffee house at 11:30 to meet and greet our people. Place is pretty easy to find. Due East of McGloghlin on Oak Grove Blvd - it curves so just keep on it until you see us on the left side of the street.

Thanks Rick. Are you able to make it a little earlier to give them time to hang the banner or is it self supporting?

If you've got any type of weaponry, bring them - It's ok.

I have songs (on CD) from Ep. 1, 4-6. 
Plus I have mp3 files of:
Imperial Rage (a version of the Imperial March), the Imperial March, and Metalica's version of the Imperial March.

Do you want me to combine all of, the above, them on to one CD?

Anytime from 11:30 on - Depending on how long you would like to get into armor. We'll drive down the street, so it won't take that long.

I'll probably wait until about 12 to leave there storefront and drive to the duplex to change.
