I used to have a Rubies, but it has come up missing. I would have offered it up for you to use.

Finished the cummberbund today, decided to throw my regular scout armor on since I haven't finish painting my other armor to my liking.

Still needed, modify an old helmet. Make new black belt and Black boots with the fun fur around the edges. Deciding between the regular black gauntlets or get traditional white cotton gloves. This is where I need your help. Oh and finish painting the armor.

Well usually santa is seen with white gloves, but I think black gloves would go very well with that red undersuit(Which is freaking sweet!)

I always remembered Santa with black gloves...... I say keep them black. But that is just me.

This is an awesome costume, by the way!

It would make things easier to keep gloves black since the belt and boots will be black, it just has so much red . I need to find red elastic to replace the black on the armor pieces. ANYONE have any ideas where to rind red elastic. My normal source STRAPWORKS does not carry red elastic.

Slim pickings, I'm afraid.

I did a quick google search and these are the only two sites I could find:

http://www.ctsusa.com/_e/Fancy_Deco_Elastics/product/N-6118-9Red/N_6118_9_9mm_Red_Elastic_100_Yards.htm

http://theecwcorp.com/elastics.html

Other than that... maybe craftstores like Joann Fabricland or Michael's, or something like that. I next door to a Joann Fabricland, I can check to see what they got when I get home.

I decided to sew little sleeves that fit over the black elastic using the same red duck cloth that I used for the cummberbund. I need an Imperial Belt Buckle for my belt. I might try to make one this weekend using a tutorial I found at Imp Corps website.

That is just a Tandy Leather belt buckle.... I have a few laying around the house. I have been trying (in vain) to polish those bad boys up, but I keep falling short. I'm thinking I may have to resort to getting some aluminum plating to cover up those weld spots.

I did go over to Joann's, last night, to check on that red elastic. They don't have it is red, but they did have red webbing material. But it would seem that you found another solution. But if you do decide to go the webbing route, let me know and I can pick it up for you.... seeing as how I will see you tomorrow, at the Pig Bowl!

So I patterned the boots after this, using the traditional scout tutorial just in black and adding the fun fur. Still looking for a helmet to modify.
