Sigma's Comic Con 09 Report
« on: July 26, 2009, 05:45:22 PM »
First of all, this was my first Comic Con EVER and I was kind of stunned for the first day and a half. Lines for panels lasted hours, people were everywhere and booth babes practically threw free stuff at you. It wasn't always awesome stuff, but it was still pretty cool. The Fan Film Awards were great and the winner this year was perfect. I'll try to grab a link for it. Got to meet Edward James Olmos, Adam Baldwin, Ashley Eckstein, Gaius Baltar (can't remember his name), and bumped into Adam Sessler. Leonard Nimoy had an amazing security team around him so it was hard to get up close. I did manage to spot Christy and Duenan from up north. :D

Clone Wars season 2 looks pretty darn good as does District 9. G4 was all over the place and Olivia Munn ended up wearing a cape to keep people from photographing her butt. But really, she kept changing into skimpier and skimpier costumes, so come on... what do you expect?

EDIT: There was a demo of the Star Wars Jedi Training Academy game, the one that detects your beta waves to levitate a ball. It was pretty mind-blowing to watch, but I have to tell you, do NOT shell out one hundred bucks for this! Mindflex had the same technology, only with way more applications including an obstacle course. It's a much better value. I was more impressed with their presentation. I can't believe they're bringing this stuff to average consumers. XD

I also managed to debut my new Twi'lek, which went over pretty well for a first run. Sean and I were featured in two different news packages, NBC and ABC. and scored the front page of Kotaku on Thursday. Yeah, this was a pretty good Comic Con. :D
