MISSION COMPLETE: Buddy Walk Oct 4th 10am

Per Paul's request, I am placing this notification in this section. Information on the Buddy Walk are as follows:


When: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., October 4th

Where: Rose Quarter Commons

This is the 10th annual Northwest Down Syndrome Association Buddy Walk to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome.
DST has attended this event for the past few years and the attendees really look forward to seeing their favorite Star Wars characters there to walk with them! Any fans/family members/spotters are welcome to come and hang out, help, or whatever. The more the merrier!

Too bad I can't make it would be fun ... but I will be in Eugene, or heading out for eugene at this point I beileve... >.<

No guarantees, but I will try to make it to this one. I missed out on it last year because I was working - in fact I think I have missed out on the Buddy Walk every year!

2) Will we have to pay for parking, at the Rose Quarter?

Matt, since you are just spotting, I would suggest parking at Lloyd Center and riding Max to the Rose Garden. You are in fareless square, so it won't cost you anything to park or ride to the troop. Just an idea. 

Of course anybody could do that. When Eric, Rick and myself went to downtown for the Komen Walk, that is where we met. Rick and Eric had their bins with them on the Max and it wasn't an issue. So, if there are those who don't want to pay for parking and don't mind toting their bins on the Max for all of maybe 5 to 7 minutes, that is certainly a more economical option.

i am very sad i couldn't make this troop. i blew out a rib last nite and the closest thing i could find to a back cracker beat the heck outta me to relocate it. hope you guys did good, am still on for eugene....old tony
