Hello!
« on: October 07, 2007, 09:00:32 PM »
My name is Andrew Kim, and I want to say "thanks" to the Cloud City Garrison for two things: 1) coming to Eugene for our Int'l Film Festival, and 2) for inviting me to your forums!

I hope those of you who were at the Valley River Center Mall enjoyed your Trooping...and I'm looking forward to more in our city.  I'm the Community Relations Manager for Barnes & Noble Eugene, as well as an aspiring biker scout, and hopefully in one of those capacities (or someday both?) I'll be able to put together a great opportunity for this garrison to really showcase themselves to our community.

Again, thanks for the welcome and I look forward to meeting more of you down the road.

Cheers,
Andrew

Welcome Commander...we've been expecting you.  Thanks so much for coming to see us and I hope that we can have more events like that one!  It would be an honor to get you in the biker scout outfit.

I definitely did enjoy trooping at the VRC, it's nice to get out of the Portland/Salem area once in a while........

And for sure come hang out with us at any event you can!  We'd love to have you!

We chatted briefly about Trooping at book events (sans author).  I've been looking at the book release schedule and while it's too late to put anything together for Perry's Death Star, it might be worth considering something for the release of Sansweet's The Star Wars Vault in late January.  If there is interest, I can submit an event request through the official 501st channels...

And thanks for the warm welcome!

Cheers,
Andrew

Looking forward to getting myself outfitted sooner-rather-than-later as well so I can join everyone.  Incidentally, you folks had a great article in the Register-Guard:

It more than made up for their lackluster blurb in their "Briefly" section last Friday...and by the looks of it, I imagine the garrison is going to have a LOT more gigs in Lane County!  Congrats!

Cheers,
Andrew
