I owe a million thanks to John Penman to occupying his garage for 6 months, putting up with my Hulk ADHD rage (that Anovos armor could not withstand…), gluing, snapping, bleeding, and really everything else. I couldn’t have made this suit without him.

Dave’s Darkside armor is triple thickness of Anovos (he calls it “con proof”), and this suit is a tank.

Now taking comeback suggestions for the question “aren’t you a little short for a stormtrooper?”  :tk:

Wow. That’s some nice stuff. I’m still working on my AM kit and I’m so pleased to see a completed version. The thickness is very nice. I’m finding it a little hard to work with but it’s worth every bit of the durability.

Is it Dave’s Kit? If so, ditch the scissors and razors, and dremel all the way. I also used the boiling water shaping, as well as I removed an entire return edge off of the back kidney plate, trimmed down length, and pasted it back on ABS bondo. (It’s gorgeous, I have photos.) If you need any help, message me please! I can offer some Dave’s tank-wear blaster proof armor building help.

Yeah is Dave’s kit. I have a Dremel and that’s helping speed up the process, but I still don’t have a good understanding of how to apply cover strips, or how (or where) to attach velcro/snaps. All the parts are sanded but unassembled. My E-6000 adhesive and heat gun are still totally foreign to me.

I sent you a message, Maeve! Hang in there! I can help.
