WHAT: Keizer Miracle of Lights
WHERE: The donation site is on someone’s side property and functions out of a large storage container and a covered tent. in NE Keizer in the Gubser Neighborhood
DATE: Saturday, December 14th
TIME: The event runs from 6-10pm. We can have other volunteers available that night to help fill anytime needed. Come for as little or as much as you’d like.
CAUSE: Keizer Miracle of Lights collects donations for the Marion Polk Food Share
The Gubser neighborhood has been hosting this event for over 30 years. All donations go the Marion Polk Food Share.
PARKING: Parking is free. We usually have volunteer groups park at Gubser elementary school and walk to the site. My home is a three minute walk from the site and is NOT on the light route so you are welcome to street park there also.
CHANGING AND STORAGE: My home (a 3 minute walk away) is open for anyone to change into or out of costume. At the donation site we have a storage container where we keep the donations and but it would be snug if multiple people are changing and keeping belongings.
BLASTER POLICY: Blaster and lightsabers are fine.
MEMBERS' CHILDREN IN COSTUME: Yes, children in costume are welcome to attend
OTHER DETAILS: Volunteers would be collecting food and monetary donations from passing cars who come out the see our neighborhood light display. We would love to host a “Star Wars Theme Night” this year. We think guests would love it!
