WHAT: May the 4th at Doernbecher Children's Hospital - SW Portland
WHERE: Doernbecher Children's Hospital - 700 SW Campus Drive Portland, OR
DATE: Wednesday, May 4th
TIME: Event: 10am-2:30pm (with movie following at 3pm)/In Costume: Please see activity schedule below and sign up according to when you can be available
CAUSE: Doernbecher Children's Hospital
PARKING: Please see parking updates below in comments!
CHANGING AND STORAGE: Car Change (this may change, but for now, plan on car change)
COSTUME REQUESTS: Open to all costumes that aren't scary for kids
BLASTER POLICY: Blaster and lightsabers are fine.
OTHER DETAILS: Looking to arrange a Star Wars Day for kids at Doernbecher Children's Hospital on May 4th. We did this a few years ago, but have not been able to the last couple of years due to COVID.

*PLEASE NOTE: All attending must be COVID vaccinated as the kids being visited are immune compromised and masks are mandatory in all areas of the event, even under helmets.

ACTIVITY SCHEDULE:
10am - Clinic outside visit (there will be a popup provided in case of rain)
10am - Art bags to be handed out to all units

11-12:30 - Star Wars visit (9S, 9N, 10N, ED). Could be 4 groups OR two different groups who visit two units each, depending on amount of volunteers you have available (Jedi certificates handed out at same time provided by hospital)

1-1:45pm - Bingo (break for you all or visits to Surgery, 7th floor waiting area?) You could also be a part of Bingo that day on camera…marking numbers, answering phones

2-2:15pm - Battle in the courtyard (please let us know asap if this is something we can incorporate. Any kind of pretend battle between your volunteers)

3pm- Star Wars movie on GetWell
