Hey guys,
just noticed this thread... I missed last armor party, would it be ok if I joined you guys Saturday? I'll be in Portland area as I live/ work in Hood River during the week... I haven't started working on my kit as I've been nervous about damaging it beyond repair... haha! I have a dremel tool I could bring along  :)

So my armor isn't here yet but I've been doing a E-11 pipe build, everything from scratch. No doopy or sterling parts kits (except he the pistol grip, that thing would be tough to do!) I still plan on coming to meet everyone. Was wondering if someone who has an completed ANH E-11 would bring it along so I can take some pictures as well as measurements with my calipers?? If you're wondering why a complete scratch build? Well because I love doing it and I learn so much about the prop from doing it this way. I'm totally going to do a build probably a doopy in the future but that means saving more $ over time and I am ready for an E-11 now.

Sweet! Thanks. Tons of good stuff on FISD and interwebs, but some specific measurements that I just can't find.

You probably all already know this but if you are looking for the correct Humbrol paints they are sold here locally at Tammies Hobbies in Beaverton for $2.15 a pot. Here is a guide I found somewhere on the FISD. You don't need to buy both blues one or the other based on your preference, both are acceptable.

I don't think midnight blue is acceptable anymore, only French blue.

I'll bring my paints tomorrow also.

I have two of each of the Humbrol colors, but I only got one of the midnight blue. That chart came from an older post so it could very well be out of date. I like the French blue better any way and that's what I plan to go with.....if my armor ever gets here! I need to be more patient it was just four weeks yesterday and know all of you waited WAY WAY longer, so I'll stop whining now. I look forward to meeting everyone tomorrow even as just an observer.

Sorry I couldn't make it, the "honey do" stuff I had this morning took longer than I thought and we had an event started at 6. Next time I guess. Sounds like I missed a good time.

Was going thru some pictures on my phone and found this from RCCC:

I know that guy now!

I took this while standing in a food line. I was there as a spotter in the Cloud City booth.
