We try to get public events posted up to facebook so people can show up to chat, but our events planning section is for active members only. We also sometimes post up in our public Spotters area if we need some additional help at events, that's a great way to start getting acquainted with folks.
When you're ready for approval, you can contact the 501st GML (Mosi) or the RL Membership person (not sure the official title) which is Blue Leader and send them photos. We also encourage people to post up build threads with photos of their progress so our members can offer encouragement and help answer questions.
