dang... too bad I work around high-voltage equipment, and all sorts of hazardous moving parts that will cut you to pieces, grind you up slowly, and/or outright kill you... I'm up and at 'em by 5am and I'm usually in bed by 9-10pm and can't afford to be "off my game" from sleep deprivation (ESPECIALLY at my age... ) ... otherwise I'd be all over this!  :(

Is there a word beyond totally awesome (Sp?)?  :D :D :D The visual effects...  :D the story line...  :D This movie hit my top five best; counting the entire Star Wars series as one movie. A word of warning, however this movie is not for the younger audience.  Plus it has a scary character that lasts, throughout the movie.

Perhaps I'm a bit too much of a fanboy... but I wasn't impressed :( I am excited to see the directors cut, and Tales of the Black Frieghter and Under the Hood, and I'm sure I'll see it in theaters at least one more time however I have issues with the film.

Five Reasons - and I'll try to keep spoilers to a minimum

1: Pacing - Cramming all of Watchmen story into a 3 hour movie is no easy task. The overall plot points and most of the character development was there, but the movie was really choppy... I would have liked some smoother transitions, and better cinematography.

2: Soundtrack - Someone should be shot for the blantently noticable soundtrack. I felt at several points in the movie the soundtrack took away from the action/story

3: Matthew Goode - Take an acting lesson... it'll help

4: Ommisions of small little bits in scences they otherwise did verbatum - For Example - The ommission of the Comedian's Best line ever - "See you in the funny pages"

5: Lack of Squid - The squid ending makes more sense, nuff said.

paul, my brother, i feel like we saw a different movie  after the opening credits and 10 min of the movie i was so impressed i could have gone home happy :D. i am TOTALLY a fanboy, but i know their gonna moof milk us all off somewhere in any of these movies. i thought "Rorschach" was amazing (academy??), im still dreaming about silk spectra II, (maybe cuz i had 1/2 hr sleep?). i REALLY wanted the squid, but thought what they did instead made sense and fit well. WHERE WAS THE smashing pumpkins track from the first trailer???? definitely read the trade before seeing the movie (first time i ever said that) cuz there are a lot of extras thrown in you wont get unless you did. of course i watched this in a bewildered/overwhelmed/moved state as we had 140 friends and family show up for our "private screening" which i thought wouldnt draw more than 40 people. paul/danielle/christy came a long ways to leave for home at 4:00. my brother who came all the way from newport, and drove back at 4:30 that morning. we WILL be doing this again (wolverine,GI joe, transformers II, star trek?)..........old tony  (very tired ) kenobi

The first 20 minutes shown at wondercon was enough for me. I normally
Don't see films on opening day, but here I am sitting at the theater waiting
For the film to start.
