New to Star Wars Costuming
« on: January 08, 2009, 10:44:49 PM »
I am brand new to the whole costuming idea. I was at OMSI when the 501st came for the Star Wars exhibit, I saw the 501st at CIV, and recently my wife was at Providence Portland when they came to visit a sick person. All these things and my love for Star Wars has sent me to the Dark Side looking to be a trooper. I have no idea where to begin but I do know that I would like to be a clone trooper phase 2, any help would be appreciate

Thanks

Welcome to the ranks

Clone Trooper is one of the best costumes IMHO, however don't marry yourself to the Phase II clone, the bucket is hard to come by.

Welcome NavySith. Like Oomar has already said, the clone trooper forum is a good place to start for gathering up your information.

I am the membership officer for Cloud City, if you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

Thanks for the interest in what we do!

501st Translation Service for you:

"IMHO"= In my humble opinion

"Marry yourself" = To not keep options open

"bucket" = Helmet

Hey I think I was talking to your wife at Providence - I was the Clone Commander that night. Welcome aboard and just to clarify, Phase I armor is from Episode 2 and the Phase II armor is from Episode 3. I think that both helmets are becoming readily available as I know a couple of armorers out there producing them now.

Let us know when you have more questions...

You were talking to her at Providence I just saw a picture that was taken. It was you, her, then Boba Fett.

Thanks to you and the rest for welcoming me and for the help. I am looking forward to starting construction and then trooping.

Thanks again
