7/26 Clackamas Toys R Us. Wow. What a fun time. There was a crowd of at least 50+ people. The 501st/RL members entertained the people in line for pictures and talking. There was an Imperial Officer, Han Solo, a couple of EP3 Clone Troopers, a couple of Sand Troopers, and a Shadow Trooper with a couple of Jawas. Very cool. Thanks guys. Good times.

Will a spotter be needed?

Just to clarify: if there is an event where there is a 501st roster, spotters are ALWAYS appreciated.
While most of the time you are there to take pictures, it's also a spotter's duty to make sure that one kid
that tries to tear off someones Thermal Detonator (believe me it happens OFTEN) doesn't get away with it.
There are a 1000 reasons a spotter is needed.
If its posted as an event spotters are NEEDED!!!!

Well we want to be there before the store actually closes - yes, I do believe that they will be closing at regular time to reopen at midnight.

My advice would be to get about a half hour before they close. That way we all can go in together. For the stragglers, don't worry. I am sure they will not want to let costumers in after they close the doors before the midnight opening... for security reasons and all. If there are those who are stranded outside, don't panic. Just come in with the rest of the crowd and go straight to the changing room and come out to join us.

Eric just told me that he will be running late. He will most likely not get there until 11:00. I am not sure if that will put him outside with the rest of the crowd or not. But I am planning on being there well before then. I will go ahead and take point on this event until Eric shows up.

The store's normal hours have it closing at 9pm. I will check with them what time we should show up. Stay tuned....

Everything is a go for Eugene Store....We will show up about 9:30 am Saturday Morning..Troop by 10:00 am till 12:00 to 1:00 PM. So while you guys up North are Trooping at Midnight.. We will be fresh for the Saturday Morning.
