This is my first time doing this one so need some advice...
I understand it's a car change. Does everyone just park on the street in the neighborhoods near the staging area or is there a public lot that's convenient?
It appears there's a large group staging area and also on the streets leading into the parade route. Where is everyone planning to gather?
Finally, what time should we be dressed and ready to go? I see there is judging at 11:00. Are we part of that or is that for "floats" etc?
Looking forward to seeing everyone this Saturday!
Steven
My experience the several times we've done this event are... Parking is a free for all, The later you are the worse it is. Many of us have parked on top of the garage on 5th and Davies then walk from there as a group but it's difficult to get a spot. The parking garage is next door to the court house.
I would plan on being there an hour early at minimum. We've taken group photos before once we've all gathered at our numbered spot. It looks like we're spot number 35 this year. You have to walk around the staging area to find your number as it could be right along the street or next to a building.
Costume judging is a separate thing that individuals can enter. I've never bothered with it because I think we have an unfair advantage IMO.
