PARKING:
Parking in Hult Center alley/stage entrance to load in, more permanent parking in Hult Garage
CHANGING AND STORAGE: We will provide a dressing room
COSTUME REQUESTS: Darth Vader, Princess Leia, X-Wing Pilot, A New Hope characters
BLASTER POLICY: Blaster and lightsabers are fine.
MEMBERS' CHILDREN IN COSTUME: Yes, children in costume are welcome to attend
OTHER DETAILS:
We will be projecting Star Wars: A New Hope above the stage while Eugene Symphony performs the soundtrack live.

Hi Steve, as I see you're double booked & already committed for the Autism troop in Tigard and don't wish to let the kids down.

I have your six o 'clock on this troop and can Vader the entire troop length that's requested. It's not about numbers with me, but a good cause with wonderful memories.

Many of our members stack up troops, especially on May 4th when we have many events to do. Nobody should be guilted into dropping out a troop.  Our rules, as seen here:

specifically, section3, subsection A-1: Face characters- spells out the procedures for face characters at events.

If Steve wants to split the Vader shift with you, great, but if not, keep in mind that you have other costume options, and Steve does not.

This troop was communicated and formed over a month ago. Time and work has been sacrificed to make it happen before it was even submitted by the host to this garrison. Instead of keeping it a private event, it was chosen to share with this garrison. I almost regret that choice now.
I don't troop for numbers but for causes and friends. I don't take all the options from others to make sure it fits me. I believe in teamwork and working together.

CCG has done this event several times over the years, as an entire unit, nothing has been formed only a month ago regarding this event....   Time and work has been sacrificed by all of our members for this event, every event,  every year.

The mere suggestion/idea of you or whoever considered keeping it a "private event" is really a slap in the face to this group.  And YOU almost regret the idea of "choosing to share it with the garrison"?? 

Because another member signed up as Vader before you??  You should really check yourself and why you are in this costume club, Jeff.

It wasn't about who was Vader. I could care less. I'd like to enjoy what I helped make happen. I retired my ISB years ago.

Tentative for this, depending on if I get my gunner finished and approved. Also would either have to leave early or show up to the library troop late... probably a mixture of both, depending on what the event has planned for us.
