WHAT: Blood Drive - February Virtual Drive
WHERE: Any American Red Cross Blood Donation Center (many local center locations below)
DATE: Tuesday, February 1st-February 28th
CAUSE: American Red Cross
PARKING: Donation parking lot/street parking
CHANGING AND STORAGE: Car Change
DETAILS:
 - Donate blood at any donation center in costume, or a CCG/RL shirt/hat, post a pic in the event thread, get trooping credit. 
 - If you aren't able to donate blood or make it to a donation center, you can make a monetary donation to a donation center online in costume/shirt/hat,
   and post a pic making your donation, you will also get troop credit. 
 - Everyone that physically donates blood will also be entered into a drawing for a bonus.

*TIP: Most donation centers will take walk-ins, but it is best to make an appointment (you can make an appointment online or by calling the center - https://www.redcross.org/give-blood.html). Also, if you have a helmet, you will likely need to get permission from the center once you arrive to put the helmet on.
DONATION CENTERS: If there is one closer to you or you participate in an American Red Cross Blood Drive in another location that works as well as long as you follow the details above.

While we are certainly excited to add trooping opportunities for everyone, our goal for this months "virtual" troop is to help out the American Red Cross.  We do recognize the fact that some are not able to donate blood, so we added the monetary donation as an acceptable form of "trooping" for this event.

Our goal is to have a "virtual" troop every month, so be on the lookout for more/different opportunities!

The soonest that I could make an appointment to donate whole blood is Sunday March 6th.  I am not worried about troop credits, but I'll be wearing a garrison shirt and representing everyone because we are just so awesome!

I've had a change of mind on this and opted for the monetary donation photo.  My bp runs really low and felt it wouldn't be wise to donate blood.  I also uploaded a shot of the donation screen.

I helped David A. make an online donation and took a photo for him on Feb 26, but he said he was having technical difficulties with his desktop while trying to roster for this and upload his photos.  I'm uploading it for him, and he'll follow up with Chris directly but either way, a photo helps the cause.
