Very nice Daryl. Are the holsters optional on the snowies?

Yes, they are optional in the CRL, they did not have them in the movie.

Yeah I didn't think they did, but wasn't positive.

I received my Hyperfirm ESB E-11.  It's a B-grade, but it looks really good:

The Hyperfirm ESB is just an ANH with no greeblies (power cylinders and counter), but it still has the mount for the counter:

So that needed to be removed.  I started with the sanding barrel in my dremel and got it most of the way:

Then I used a smaller attachment to cut the area under the scope rail:

Then finished with some sandpaper, and a little black paint:

There is a little square of the foam interior showing, where the thick part of the mount was located (which I may address at some point), but overall I'm happy for only spending about 30 minutes.

Then I put a little weathering on my holster, using the same black and brown paint I weathered my armor and soft parts with (you can't see anything in these pictures):

After trooping this costume a few times I realized I wasn't happy with how the helmet was fitting.

So I changed the way the chin strap was arranged and also changed the pad arrangement, doubling-up the side pads.

Now it fits tighter and I don't feel like a bobble-head in the helmet.

I wasn't happy with how I had glued the vinyl cowl to the face plate.  It had some serious creases that I didn't like, caused by stretching from using magnets to glue it down.

So I ordered a new set of vinyl from TM.

First I trimmed and weathered the vinyl.

Then using just a bead of e6000 this time, I secured the vinyl to the face using tape.

I'm much happier with the way it looks now.
