Embedded pictures

Quick question. Is there a way to crop down the pictures I embed using [ img]? Both forums at fisd and mepd show the picture cropped down so you can see it without scrolling. Or is this site just aged a little?

I use IMGR, I usually copy the large thumbnail BBCode into my posts, but have even used the huge thumbnail. Never had any issues with needing to scroll.

shwarzwald:
I use imgur and use the direct link bbcode. That may be the issue?
