WHAT: Portlant International Raceway benefit for Children's Charities
WHEN: Saturday August 10
TIME: 10:00a-12:00p, but arrive in time for the 9:00a track crossing @ turn #8
Directions: From I-5 North, take exit 307 to PIR / Expo Center. Turn left under the freeway (two overpasses) then turn right at stop sign towards PIR / Expo. Turn left after TriMet station onto Broadacre BUT DO NOT TURN INTO FRONT GATE OF PIR!!!!!! Continue on Broadacre between the two grass fields, following signs to "TRACK CROSSING" or "ROAD RACE" (not sure which sign will be out). You are looking for the crossing at Turn 8, near the golf course. After seeing the golf course, you will turn left into the back crossing area, with the other cars waiting to cross. Tell the security guard you are with Star Wars CCG, and they will let you cross into the track. (after signing the waiver, maybe a wristband).
Once inside the track, follow the other cars across the fields to the infield. You will see the three-story tower. Park somewhere near the tower. Leave your gear in your car, walk to the tower, and look for a yellow "BSI Racing" tent. This is where you will find Mark Scholz. He will show you where the gear storage and changing room will be located.
