Tax question
« on: January 30, 2010, 01:42:48 PM »
Anybody thinking of taking the tax credit of $.14 a mile for traveling to charity work? I have a quick estimate of about 3100 miles traveled last year and was thinking of using it. I found it when I was looking for a the "moving" deduction.

I've never done it personally, but I'd imagine someone on the Legion boards has (maybe?).

Well since we, the 501st, are not an official charity you might have to get proof from the
various charities we did work for. I would think something like that would have to be
itemized.

I know Ian, I'll ask him since that thread is from 2006. I don't want to do my kit, just the miles and it looks like this year I might benefit from it. I'll let you know what I find out.
