WHAT: May the 4th be with you Star Wars celebration
WHERE:
Oregon City Public Library at 606 John Adams St., Oregon City, OR 97045 in Oregon City
DATE: Thursday, May 4th
TIME: Event: 5:00-7:00 PM/In Costume: 4:45-5:45pm
UPON ARRIVAL: The information desk can direct you to the changing area, or if you are doing a car change just c'mon in. Aaron Novinger requested the event.
CAUSE:
Oregon City Public Library
We're a public library, serving Oregon City and its surrounding areas. We have events for community members of all ages.
PARKING:
Street parking and some lot spots. We can save some staff spots for AT-ATs with enough notice.
CHANGING AND STORAGE:
Staff only bathrooms that are quite spacious are located in Staff Only basement. We can provide key card access for volunteers who can keep gear in locked area.
COSTUME REQUESTS:
Imperials, Rebels, Mandalorians, Cantina musicians, pretty much anyone as long as they're kid-friendly. .
BLASTER POLICY: Blaster and lightsabers are fine.
MEMBERS' CHILDREN IN COSTUME: Yes, children in costume are welcome to attend
OTHER DETAILS:
An annual library event where community members gather to celebrate all things Star Wars. Themed activities for kids & families available.

I was confused. So sorry. The event is 5-7pm. In costume 4:45-5:45.....or really any time during event is fine. The first but was the preference was all.

Just a heads up with this one: it’s fun, and the staff are awesome, but after Nellie and I got mobbed by kids with pool noodle lightsabers last year,  I’d highly recommend having at least one spotter just in case.

Roster is correct. No troopers were harmed by flailing pool noodles this year, but the violent melee of Jedi v. Sith in the courtyard looked like a feeding frenzy of sharks and I'm certain eventually led to many tears...
