Submit Your 501st Costume Here / Tie Pilot Submission
« Last post by zerohero65 on August 17, 2025, 09:01:36 PM »
This is my first submission. For the shot without a helmet I included one without the balaclava (which is my preference) and one with, just in case. Let me know if you need any other pictures or have any feedback. Thank you for your time.

Mike, I am happy to report that your submission is approved. Welcome to the 501st Legion and Cloud City Garrison! Please allow a few days for final approval to clear through the legion staff and look for an email once that is completed.

Yeah is Dave’s kit. I have a Dremel and that’s helping speed up the process, but I still don’t have a good understanding of how to apply cover strips, or how (or where) to attach velcro/snaps. All the parts are sanded but unassembled. My E-6000 adhesive and heat gun are still totally foreign to me.

I sent you a message, Maeve! Hang in there! I can help.

Wow. That’s some nice stuff. I’m still working on my AM kit and I’m so pleased to see a completed version. The thickness is very nice. I’m finding it a little hard to work with but it’s worth every bit of the durability.

Is it Dave’s Kit? If so, ditch the scissors and razors, and dremel all the way. I also used the boiling water shaping, as well as I removed an entire return edge off of the back kidney plate, trimmed down length, and pasted it back on ABS bondo. (It’s gorgeous, I have photos.) If you need any help, message me please! I can offer some Dave’s tank-wear blaster proof armor building help.
