I started my boba a little more than 3 years ago. It's been a fun ride with lots of improvements with lot of research. But I'm finely at the point of feeling confident with what I've made that I'm super excited to join up with all you fine people.
A little bit about me.
I'm 43 and have been to every opening Star Wars movie. I have a wonderful wife and two boys 5 and 10. I own my own business Monolith Tattoo Studio in Bend Oregon. I've been tattooing for almost 28 years now. I also build studio scale Star Wars ships for fun.
I'm looking forward to meeting all of you and thanks for having me!

Hi Edward!
Sweet, another Boba! Which movie version did you go with? I think we all love seeing pictures of costume around here, so feel free to post some if you want!
Have you seen the Millennium Falcon studio scale model that's currently a monthly subscription? I've got the first couple months so far, it's pretty impressive. Might be a little easier than what you're used to, but from the guys halfway done it looks good!
Got any good Fett tattoos you want to do? :D
Welcome aboard, I look forward to meeting you sometime.

Welcome to the forums Edward!

I went with the ESB boba as I find his coloring more intimidating and cool looking. I have a older picture but I've upgraded it a lot since the picture was taken. And I'm trying to figure out how to add a picture in this forum. Any help would be great :)
And yeah I'm about a year into my millennium falcon build.

I do keep tossing around the idea of doing a ROTJ boba also because of the challenge but I'm not sure the wife would be on board with the cost. I've come to appreciate the coloring of the ROTJ boba after all the research I've done.
-
It's hard to choose as the ESB, ROTJ and even the SE Boba are somewhat unique and all are very cool. I waffled for a long time between ESB and ROTJ, and ended up with ROTJ since the Jetpack has a bit more color and I actually remember seeing ROTJ in the theater. Either way, you can't go wrong, but keeping the wife happy is always a good thing.
For posting pictures, usually you need to host the picture on a website like photobucket or imgur and then just the direct link, then hit the "Insert Image" icon when creating a post.

So this was my boba about a year ago. I've replaced the poutches, new vest and armor and a new bucket and lost the spats and dyed the jumpsuit to the correct color. I'm getting new pictures taken with all the new stuff soon.

Wow! That's a sharp looking Boba. If this is your old one, I'm looking forward to seeing the new and improved costume! PM me your submission photos when you're ready. Photos to send = Front, back, both sides, bucket off (helmet in hand), an action shot, and any other detail photos you'd like to include (gauntlets, backpack, belt, etc.)
Thanks Edward

Thanks. Yeah the new stuff makes a big difference. I will send them over as soon as I get them done.

That looks GREAT! Having a Fett myself I know what goes into making that costume. I was just in Bend...... I'll have to look you up next time to add to my Fett tattoo.......
-
Really nice work on your Boba and a great picture too!
I hear you on adding better stuff, I'm replacing most of my armor and repainting it already after 6 months.. Might redo my vest too since it's just not quite perfect! Costumes are never done, right? :D
-
The never ending quest for perfection. I am at the point where I don't really know what else to do to it though other than relly high priced stuff like a real flare gun or the real nimrod holster. Ah the quest....

Great Edward. Glad you got on forums. It was nice meeting you at Tattoo Invitational.

Thats a really nice looking Boba. Would you be interested in collabing on a short film? We need a Boba fett for a small shoot coming up
-
Well I'm not opposed to the idea at all. Where would it be? And I have a very busy schedule so the timeing would have to work also. Thanks for asking though:)
