Pleased to report that the new CCG business cards went to press today! We had several last minute glitches in getting proper formatting, etc. but thanks to Daverian (my young mentor) everything is all smoothed out and I must say the card ROCKS! (yes, even older fellows like me have our moments of youthful euphemisms :D
I expect to receive 3K of them about a week from today (production plant is in Atlanta).
Many thanks to Tony and Dave - you guys are great!

Glad to help! :D

HOLY SMOKES!
Thank you both for doing all of this for this group!

DOH! Sorry, should have remembered to upload samples of the final card for everybody's view. :?
These are low quality 72 dpi samples without final color corrections for fast loading on the boards so don't fret if the pic and smaller type looks funky - the full size is sharp and clear, but it will give you the idea of what's coming!
The cards will be glossy, printed on 100# card stock - typical business cards are 80# and figuring how many of you stick cards in your gloves or body suits I felt a higher quality "stiffer" cardstock would be better.

Received the 3,000 cards today, they look great! - the Cloud City Logo stands out on the back. But the front with the troops and Vader - WOO HOO!!
I am going to send them in the morning with Meri to give to Ara, and she will distribute as needed.

I have them in my paws this morning, and they're gorgeous! I'll carry them with me to the next few events so everyone can get a stack.

How do you do that? "Please empty your pockets. Do you mind if I pat you down? Do you like Star Wars?"
-
Its easy all you have to do is just look at the shirts. there have been alot of people who wear their star wars shirts out in public that are not on our level of nerd.
-
Anybody seen the trailer for the movie FAN BOYS yet?...looks hilarious!

That's a great one Rob
or he could use it as a variation to the old pick up line of "whats your sign" instead: "Whats your nerd quotient?"..

Uh-Oh
The cards show a URL of "http://www.cloudcitygarrison.com" - usually when I log on I use the "501stcloudcitygarrison.com" - but today I tried the URL as shown on the cards - and this is what came up:

Are we not quite ready for prime time yet? Should we hold off with the cards for now?

Phil, fear not!! I believe that is CCG's new home, we're just waiting on the new website development team to get it ready and polished. Scot and Kyle... am I correct? :?

-
LOL.... Mac on "this", kid!!
-
Stomper, you are correct.
Development is happening and I've been working (for a very long time, actually) on preparations to get everything moved over to the new domain name. It's more difficult that one would think because of the forum and the gallery, and I want to make sure there are no 'oops' issues, so I've been working with the hosting company and poring over the scripting communities user forums to develop the process.
The plan is to shut everything down for an entire weekend to make the move, giving me plenty of time for fixes, adjustments or reversions if necessary. I'll announce the schedule widely, once we're in a 'clear' communications area (ie: no big events)- probably during April.

Normally, one can only get to that particular website right now only by typing in a particular address - I forgot to set up the redirect the other day. Thank you for helping to remind me!
-
Hey Scot - it's all better now, you fixed it!!
I like the "Verifying Imperial Credentials" screen upon opening the URL hehe
