My name's Jared and I'm brand new to Oregon and the 501st. I've been wanting to join up for years, but never lived in one place long enough. Now that I'm more or less permanent in Eugene, the time has come! I'm planning to build a TIE uniform since I've been crazy about them since playing TIE Fighter as a kid on our old 486. I'm also signing on at the JRS forum, but if anyone here has advice for getting started, I would be most grateful!

lots of options for starting a TIE pilot. Many people start with an Reserve Pilot or Imperial Crewman, it will get you approved and trooping and it leads right into the TIE pilot.  Flight suit, boots, hat, and gloves will get you going.
