Title: Hello everybody!
Post by: CadBane3 on October 17, 2016, 09:18:37 PM
Hi all,

My name is Mike, and I have recently been accepted as TK-42125. I've seen the 501st at many events in the past and finally decided to see what it takes to get involved. I have to admit, the armor build process was quite overwhelming, so I found a recently built Anovos kit on eBay that was built for the same height and weight as myself. When I saw that the boots were my size, I knew it was destiny, so I snatched it up.

I figured getting some armor and then being able to see how it was built would eliminate some of the scare factor, and it sure has. I've already done some simple repairs and started to think about what I would get next to build myself. Torn between scout armor or a TIE pilot. It'll probably depend on which helmet I can snatch up. I figure having the armor and getting started is more important to me than the possible stigma of not having built it myself. :)

Today, I installed the Ukswrath helmet cooling kit and audio kit. Seems like I'm all prepared to troop!

Otherwise, I live in Vancouver and am looking forward to coming to the next meet and greet and starting to get to know you all.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Mike
