I finally have enough pieces I feel prepared to start this post. I'll add photos as it progresses.
I'm working on the ISB Officer uniform, and sewing it myself, since I'm able and I know it will fit better this way.

Hat: Made, needs disc to be attached.
Tunic: Started fitting the mock up.
Rank Bar: Haven't ordered the parts yet, gonna finish sewing first
Jodphurs: Have all the materials, am fine-tuning the fit of the mock-up
Belt: Have all the materials, need to attach the disc to the buckle and assemble the belt.
Boots: Haven't placed an order yet, this will probably be the last piece I acquire. Planning to get them custom from Hessen Antique.

Looking forward to seeing your progress!
Since you're making it from scratch, are you planning on going for level 2 or 3 certification?
-
I'm aiming for level 3, since it's just a few finicky details more, and I would feel silly stopping short of it when I have the ability to reach it.
I did get the belt pieces in the mail yesterday and was very excited about it, as I'm always a little suspicious of buying things like leather and fabric online where I can't touch them first. I just need to get the buckle blank, now.

Bigguynextdoor posted an ISB rank bar for sale, if it's the same thing you'll need. http://www.cloudcitygarrison.com/forum/index.php?topic=9912.0

I wish it was, since it'd save me time and effort. Thanks for alerting me!

Good luck finishing up. It will be a nice costume!

I fit my hat mock-up, and now that I know I chose the right hat size, I get to cut the actual fabric I'm using and sew it up. I'll take a photo once it's made.
I'm still tweaking the jodhpurs, and have found that making sure the leg curves in at the right spot on my leg is the most annoying part of them. I could just make them from the pattern I have currently worked up, but I'd rather they're as good as I can get them.
-
Cut out the hat fabric, and shined up the buckle blank. I took a comparison photo of the buckle I polished and the untouched one, because the difference is huge. I haven't decided whether to glue the disc on the buckle or drill the buckle and disc and attach with a screw. I'll have to visit my dad and borrow his tools if I go the second route.

Finally finished sewing the hat. I tried it on before sewing in the lining and it fits snugly. It needs a little more steam pressing and I have to decide how to attach the disc.
