Just wanted to point out that with the last few events, we've officially passed $10K in direct donations to charity for the year! And still some pretty big events coming up in December!
You can see a current total of our charity on the main web page here:

SO happy and blessed to be a part of this amazing group that does so much for the community. And that's not just the costumers, but all the spotters and spouses and children and friends that provide so much support.
You all are awesome!!!!!

thats way cool, thanks for the update Steve!
-
That's awesome! Are we allowed to share that information?
-
Absolutely! It's posted up on the front of the web page at www.cloudcitygarrison.com (and www.kashyyykbase.org when I get around to updating it...)
I usually like to print out a year end summary that lists all the evens and charity donations for the year for our table at cons. We really want the word to get out as much as possible about our charity aspect so people have a better understanding of who we are - sometimes you come across people that think we're paid actors at events, so it's really cool to see their reactions when they find out the truth.
-
That's such great news!
-
So awesome! And yes, we do have some big donations in the pipe. It's going to be a great total for the year!

TFA isn't the only thing setting new records-
We're over $15,300 for the year, with Salvation Army and up to $600 coming from a TFA screening in Eugene still to count! Possibly going over $16K for the year! Previous record for one year was $14,951.
We're sitting at 149 events with at least one more to go and a couple of TFA premieres not recorded yet! So over 150 events in a single year! Previous record was 109. Can't even imagine how many hours our tireless GEC has put in this year....
102 events (so far) that had a charity aspect to them - that's almost as many as our old record of TOTAL events in a year! 1,263 hours supporting charity so far this year by our members.
Great job troopers!

Outstanding!

With the Salvation Army results I _think_ we're done counting for the year, but one never knows. Anyway, we made it over the $16K mark! WOW!
Grand total for 2015: $16,309 and 105 total events that had a charity aspect (out of 153 total)
GREAT JOB EVERYONE!

Awesome results!
Though I'm not actually a member (I plan to be next year), I had the privilege of helping at 5 of the 153 events this year. Everyone I've met has been so friendly and welcoming, and I've been very impressed with the dedication to the work, and to the fun.
So I want to say "congratulations!" and "thanks!" and I'm sure 2016 will be even better.

Although my back kept me from trooping as much as I would like to have this year, I am so proud to be part of this amazing group. When I am able to troop, I love to be with every one of you and love seeing the new faces. I look forward to meeting even more of you as I get back into more troops. I'm working on some new face costumes which will allow me to spend more time in costume; that helmet can be a little cumbersome, and I can't really wear it more than 15-20 minutes at a time. Next year will be a much better year for all of us!
Happy New Year everyone!!!
