Title: Rubies blaster
Post by: Rat on September 27, 2015, 04:46:32 PM
So I picked up a Rubies yesterday and did some light moding to it. Sanded the T rails, drilled out the barrel and cooling ports along the barrel. I also put down a primer base coat, two coats of silver and two coats of a satin black.

What are some different weathering tips you could share? Oh and pics how do I post them?

I can help with the pictures part. Here's how to do it from Flickr. Other sites should be pretty similar if you don't use Flickr.

Thanks. That's one of my big issues is I don't use any of those currently. Would instagram be alright for this purpose?

I doubt Instagram has the ability to let you embed pictures here, but I could be wrong.

Flickr is free and easy, plus you get 1TB of storage.

There's some really good Rubies conversion posts on FISD, depending on how crazy you want to get with the modding of your E-11.

Looks like a lot of folks create/add the power cylinders on top of the mag since the Rubies don't have those. I'm not sure if those are a requirement for approval, but I know for EIB they are, and you should totally go for EIB!

Yeah I may do that eventually. I'm taking it slow for now, have to put off my armor for a bit. This is mostly for getting s feel for doing things, since this is my first step into any of this.

So I finally got a way to post pictures. Any and all input would be great and greatly appreciated. This is more a visual build, I didn't split it or anything like that, I basically did this one as a test run on getting to know the material. So here it is.
