Title: Build Party anyone?
Post by: Starrfox1 on May 28, 2015, 10:09:45 AM
Hey Guys,

I just ordered a kit from Mark over at AP and was wondering if anyone is planning on doing a build party anytime soon. I'd definitely like input from people that have built before so if anyone is anticipating a Big Brown Box anytime soon, like within the next month (or if you have a kit that you've been working on or sitting on for a while) let me know! I'd love to hang out, meet some of you, and get covered in plastic shavings :-)

Hi! I'm waiting for a response from AP about a completed ensemble, but if I decide to build, I'd definitely be interested!

Just sent my deposit to Mark for the trimmed kit with holster/gloves combo! Put me down for the build party.

Yeah buddy! If nobody wants to do it at their place I will gladly open my doors to anyone that is interested. I love cooking so if it ends up being at my place anticipate BBQ and brews :-)

I have been struggling to complete my wife's stormtrooper kit for over a year now, and have pretty much reached the limit on my skill set. If anyone is willing to come over and help me finish the kit, that would be awesome! I would provide pizza, beer, and anything else that anyone would like. And if you have a kit that you have just started, I would be able to help with that. I have a rotary tool, a heat gun, industrial scissors, a rivet gun, and pretty much everything needed to complete the kit, I just don't have the know-how. It would need to be on a Wednesday, since that's the only day that both the wife and I would be available, and we live in Hillsboro. I think if I could get three people that know what they're doing, the kit could be completed in a couple of hours. I have wanted to do this for awhile, but never have weekends off. If anyone could help, it would be much appreciated. And newbies are also welcome, I can help with some of the easier stuff. :)

I like the idea of a get-together. Although I have nothing to build at the moment  :)

ANOVOS needs to hurry up

I'm considering a TK for a future costume, and if space allows, I'd like to come to learn about these builds/kits.

Kamino! I've been speak with Robert from MWA about commissioning a Darth Revan costume for my next costume, so I'd love to pick your brain about it sometime.

Anytime!  I would be happy to share my experience, and what I've learned from the other Revans during this process.

Did you have to make many modifications to your MWA before getting approved?

Once everyone gets their armor, I'd be glad to meet up with everyone and give pointers!

Jason that would be FANTASTIC. I think it would give us a lot of confidence to have the perspective of a Centurion :-)

Ackua is getting his box today, I'm so jealous :-P

Mine is coming on Monday, so I'm going to start getting supplies this weekend. Anyone want to meet up next week and show us rookies what's up?
