Oh yeah!! My wife and I are going to EMP next week for my birthday! I missed the last touring Star Wars exhibit that was at OMSI years ago too... (right down the street from my house!!) I'd be shocked if this new exhibit ever came to Portland. I think it's only going to a handful of cities for 9 months or so at a time. But who knows!
I really wanted to go to that opening night party at EMP a little over a week ago! Anthony Daniels and Billy Dee were there! A few weeks before the opening was announced, I bought tickets for that same night to see the *ahem*Star Trek symphony orchestra at the Schnitz. That was awesome!
I plan on taking a LOT of photos at EMP! I'll post some here when I get back.

Rebel Scum has a gallery up of the event and all of the costumes. There's some neat stuff, though the costumes are all of the ones that have been shown before at various costume exhibits, nothing too unusual... Lots of the standards stuff. TIE pilot, X-wing pilot, Darth Vader, stormtrooper, a buttload of Padme costumes... Wish they would have had on display some more unusual ones. Still, it looks like a neat exhibit, though.

I'm going this Saturday! Best Valentine's Day EVER :) I'm super excited about the whole exhibit, but more than anything I'm looking forward to seeing Padme's costumes up close. They're so beautiful and ornate, they were really one of my favorite things about the prequels. I remember when Episode I came out I read everything I possibly could about her costume design. I can't wait!!!
