I can make it as a spotter. Might be my first spotter activity, so go easy on me!

Great!

See ya'll at the beach!
Plan plenty of time for traffic congestion and parking. -- This looks like it falls on one of the days of the "worlds largest amateur beach volleyball tournament". http://www.seasideor.com/item.asp?iid=19&eid=1303

Hi:
Looking forward to spotting this weekend. Is there an update available on precise location and time to meet?
-
Updated first post with where to park. Essentially at the Convention Center parking lot and the costumers will be changing in the lot.
-
Nope, gonna be much further south on the coast. Have a good troop!
-
Lot is full - there is street parking along necanicum off 1st currently. Also a few 3hr spots along first near the convention center.

Had a lot of fun today! Thanks for taking it easy on me and setting your blasters to stun.

Nice quiet little event. -- I think James and Rob brought enough family to cover all the spotting needs and more, but thanks for letting me tag along and hang out with the cool kids. :-) Brian did an amazing job helping the crowd and taking photos for them. Natural pro!
Boardwalk was crowded, but there were a lot of excited fans out there. We hit the roundabout, then down into the arcade, through the carousel mall and then loitered outside the Cotton Club. Two hours went by surprisingly fast.
My girlfriend and her parents shadow-crashed the troop.. (her folks live in seaside). I talked her mom getting her photo taken, but I think she was holding the DLT-19 all wrong. :-) Sigh!
I also tried to re-sell the missus on a sandy kit (see honey, that's what a sandtrooper looks like)... but got shot down harder that a certain planet obstructing the death star test-firing. "It needs to be clean and white." Can't get no love for the MEPD at my house. ;(
Got some pics taken, but still need to finish cleaning em up!
