THANKS TO ALL THE SPOTTERS!! I CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH. This was one of the best spotter coverages we've had especially for this parade. Look forward to serving with you again in the future.
Phil
Event is scheduled for June 4th and we will meet at 6:00pm at our assembly area at Couch and Burnside to discuss assignments. Spotter Lanyards will be provided.

Thanks
Phil

I'll see if I can do it. I just got a job at Sherwood Target, so I'll have to check and see what their deal is there. But tentatively, sign me up! I'd love to be in the Starlight Parade without my trombone and Tualatin HS marching uniform. :D

Is there another area for sign-up for Spotters for the parade? I have 4 people that would like to spot again this year.
They all spotted last year and had a great time.
Names; Virgil, Christine, Ana, Adam. Virgil is my To-cheap-to-buy-armor younger brother and his girlfreind Christine
have spotted for the last 3 years. Ana and Adam are my niece and her husband who's first year was last year.

was going to add him to the list but don't know his real name...

Looks like paul's mom, Linda, won't be able to suit up, so she's volunteered to be a spotter. She's wanting to wear her flight suit if that's ok(?), cause it'll keep her warmer. :D she'll be with me either way and since she most likely won't troop it, this is the next best option for her! thanks!

she really shouldn't be all that concerned about staying warm. i've marched in the starlight parade for the past four years with my high school and there has always been a surplus of heat. really, just pants, shirt (Garrison approved of course), and shoes you can march 2.5 miles at a brisk walk in should be more than adequate.

That's what I'm talking about! it's always nice for the Starlight Parade. And unless she wants to get heat stroke, she should 86 the flight suit and go with something a little more lightweight.

My nephew can help spot. Spiro, 18 YOA. He can wear my Garrison T-shirt.
-
Linda found her admiral dahla costume...it's less warm than the flight suit. She hopes to spot and is super enthusiastic about this...she's called me multiple times confirming everything. She's an experienced spotter so will floor directions real well! Can't wait to see you guys!

That's great, will add her to the roster to spot.
Thanks!

If you are a spotter, please pass on dressing as a character or as a non-specific character (partial costume), having an uncompleted costume is not acceptable to be in the parade - and spotters are there to support our costumed participants. We should remain in the background, not part of the show. We have a real job to do in keeping watch over those performing be it for heat exhaustion, dire thirst, losing direction (happens) or dropping out of the parade. I hope you understand. We prefer dark clothing, regular street clothes, if you have a garrison T-shirt or a star wars related shirt/blouse that's fine. You will have a spotters badge to identify that you are assisting the unit.
Thanks,
Phil
