Just heard this:
On a downside the many rumors we have been hearing about the new Star Wars Live Action TV Series are not going ahead because the production costs for these are astronomically, more than 2 Million USD per episode, so George Lucas said no to this project.

Has he not seen 'A Light in the Darkness'?
They shot that for like $45 and a large pizza and it was still good.
-
All he has to do is start with a 6 episode season 1, release it on Blu-Ray, make a billion dollars and hes good for the rest.

this, cause there's at least 5k of dedicated fans that'll buy it, cause you know we all would

We are a predictable bunch

Most of us are the same people who thought Ep 1 was bad but will line up for the 3D version on opening night. I wasn't that thrilled with Ep 1 but for some reason Uncle George tells me to line up and watch it. Jar Jar in 3D...worse idea ever!

Just focus on the duel at the end. That's what I do.

Too bad… It might have been a good opportunity for George to redeem himself!

This doesn't fully surprise me. I fear that GL is after money and is scared that this won't make any money hence no show. But what he doen't realize is how many viewers world wide he'd get. The ratings on it alone would make his wallet fatter then it already is.
If he eve does change his mind on the project, he'd better get some really good actors to star, cause if I see Jake Lloyd's name anywhere near it I won't watch. And as for the release of EP I 3D, why couldn't he just do Empire Strikes Back and leave it at that? I'd pay to see that one first.
