What about a 501st trooper? That wouldn't be a problem since they said that there can be two additional helmeted characters.
I wish this wasn't on a weekday! Too bad, I'd totally find a way up to it with my TS if it weren't :(Yeah, I wish it wasn't on a weekday either. There are actually 2 concerts in WA; the one in Chehalis is the second of the two. The first is the night before in Lynden, which is next to the Canadian border. What I may do soon is contact the concert promoter about opening this is up for additional costume types.
I suppose it's too late to sign up with my biker scout? Not necessarily. I'm waiting to see who may be interested in doing the concert. If there aren't enough TK's, I can ask the promoter about opening it up to other costume types.
I can go - but I have a Shocktrooper Clone, let me know if that would help - if not, no worries
I was wondering if this event is still on? I ask because it's not on, our (Cloud City), calander.
This is a Titan Event Matt, it is on their calender, and CCG may help. We only put CCG only on our calender. Thanks, Allen.
I have heard back from the Weird Al concert promoter. He has opened up the costume types to the following:Is my bid as biker scout still on the table? And what's the scoop on my wife as a handler? Does this cover fair admission as well?
1. Stormtroopers (first preference)
2. Biker Scouts
3. Sand Troopers
4. Snow Troopers
5. Imperial Guards (least preference)
6. Clone Troopers
7. Tusken Raiders
The preference is to have an even number of troopers to be balanced on either side of Weird Al during the concert. The preference is for a number of anywhere between 6 and 12, but can go as low as 4.
If Darth Vader is available (but not required), he would be positioned in the center of the troopers.
Optional 2 other masked characters, such as Boba Fett.

I'll send my wife into the stands with her dad and/or brother.QuoteIs my bid as biker scout still on the table? And what's the scoop on my wife as a handler? Does this cover fair admission as well?1 spotter and 1 photographer are permitted. Right now, there is a spotter rostered: Oomar Galor. If he doesn't want to do it, then that would open a spot for your wife to attend. Do you want to roster as a TB either way?
Really, why aren't there more Titans volunteering for this? It was a good time and is a closer drive for them.I agree Marc. Titan should rally it since it is their territory. They should follow up and give us information as they get it. I know that they invited us, but it should not be David overseeing this one. It is Titan's Event. we are invited guests. I do appreciate that David is willing to help them.

I will be in contact with the tour manager next week once we have a better idea of who is able to attend and whether they'll approve whatever our roster looks like at the time.
Jay,
With the two Weird Al concerts in Washington state now just under 2 weeks away, it's unclear whether we will have enough troopers available to participate in both concerts.
For the concert in Lynden, WA on August 17, 2010, only 2 troopers have indicated that they can definitely attend. Two more have indicated that they might be able to attend. The two that can attend are a stormtrooper and a Boba Fett. (The individual doing Boba Fett is actually from the neighboring garrison just to the north in Canada.) The two who may be able to attend are another stormtrooper and someone who has both stormtrooper and bike scout costumes and could potentially wear either one.
For the concert in Chehalis, WA on August 18, 2010, only one member from Garrison Titan has indicated that he may be able to attend (a member with stormtrooper & bike scout costumes). However, I have also been in contact with Cloud City Garrison (in Oregon) and several of their members have indicated that they can attend the concert in Chehalis: a Darth Vader, a bike scout, a stormtrooper and a person with two costumes: a Commander Gree (clone trooper) and a Boba Fett. Unfortunately, none of these costumes are in matching pairs, but the head-count is good.
There are three factors that are adversely affecting the ability of Garrison Titan members to attend either of these concerts:
1. With the exception of one brand new member who lives in Bellingham, WA, there are no members living near either venue.
2. Each concert is on a weeknight, which, together with the distance that members will have to travel to attend, doesn't work well with many members' work schedules.
3. While a number of members have expressed interest to me in attending one of the concerts, the weekend before the concerts is when the "Star Wars Celebration V" convention is occurring in Orlando, FL, and a lot of Garrison Titan members are traveling to Orlando to attend. While most will be back from the convention before the first concert in Lynden on the 17th, many are shipping their costumes separately, so their costumes won't be back before the concerts.
I have sent private messages to a number of members whose costumes meet the concert criteria to see if they can attend. If any more members indicate that they can attend either of the concerts within the next week, I will let you know. Otherwise, if we either don't have enough people to attend or don't have matching pairs of costumes, I will leave it up to you to decide how you would like to proceed.
With best regards,
Michael Hart

I've updated the event roster as follows. Are each of the CCG members who have rostered for this still available?I'm still planning on showing as well.

Michael -
All we can ever ask is you do the best you can. If it proves impossible for either or both dates, we will certainly understand. Thanks for all your diligence.

I have posted a very important update: JoshEEE from GT will be able to go to the Chehalis, WA concert on August 18th. I have updated the roster as such.Woohoo! The more the merrier
Jay,
I have some good news, and I have some bad news. The good news is that I believe we have now enough troopers to do the show in Chehalis, WA on August 18. A total of 5 troopers have said that they can do the Chehalis show: 2 bike scouts, 1 stormtrooper, 1 clone trooper and 1 Vader.
Unfortunately, a trooper withdrew from the Lynden, WA show on August 17, leaving us with only 1 definite trooper. Since I have been unable to find any other available members for that date, I will regrettably have to withdraw our support from that show.
With best regards,
Mike
Not a problem, Mike. Thanks for trying on Lynden and we look forward to seeing you in Chehalis!

These are good questions I would like to know the answer to before I pack my stuff for the drive up there. Anyone know?
If we need another clean TK, my brother who assisted us at the Portland concert could wear my TK gear since I'll be Vader. Let me know and I'll pack it with us tomorrow for the drive up.

I am here, I have all our passes. They dont want us bringing armor in until about 545 so if we could all gather a little before that, that would be perfect. Call when you get here and I will meet you near a gate with your passes.
Alright, if you happen to have other people's phone numbers, please pass the word around to them about the passes and our start time. Can't Most are on the road or are arriving there. :| :|
Well our lots of planning and practice paid off big time because after we came off stage, Hawkeye actually came off the stage and tapped Dustin on the shoulder and said, "Better than Dallas!, then rushed back up on stage. So awesome!

Actually the Keyboard player kept telling us that. Awesome work guys.
I hope somebody got some video.
I should note that I have (literally) hundreds of other photos that came out. Matthew shot pretty much continously through the song, and I could almost make a video out of it (it's pretty awesome actually). I cherry picked the best ones and made sure there were shots of each of us up there, but if anyone wants me to upload more photos, let me know and I'll be happy to do so. There are 3GB of photos I haven't uploaded yet, and although they're all similar to the ones I posted, they are available in case you want to dig through them all looking for that one perfect shot of you on stage....
Get me those photos (in some kind of order hopefully), and a copy of the video, and I'll splice them all together into a video.....
Does anyone know when the pictures will be posted in the Gallery? I ask because I am writing up a report, for the 501st Cast, and I want to add that we have pictures, and video, in the gallery.
I also put up the video and every single picture you took while we were on stage here (http://www.josheee.com/alconcert/rawfiles/) for Cooter Davis, who, will hopefully be turning them all into a video. The images at that location are the originals.
I put them up on the GT gallery (http://www.garrisontitan.com/THX1410/thumbnails.php?album=446) and also on my own site (http://www.josheee.com/alconcert).
Also have the uncompressed files from those two locations here (http://www.josheee.com/alconcert/highrez/).

Hopefully that works, but if you'd like to grab and post them anywhere else, feel free to use any or all of those images and videos. Thanks again for taking some great ones for us!
