Title: Out of the hospital
Post by: Jabbasdead on May 22, 2010, 12:40:37 PM
As a few of you know I was in the hospital yesterday and after , but my guess 15k-18k worth of tests based on previous experience, they could not figure out what is wrong.  That being said it would be fianacially irresposible for me to spend any money towards trooping until I can figure out how to pay for this bill, as much as trooping lifts MY spirits I need to figure out what I can do to pay for this.

Oddly enough, I have missed the last 3 Celebration events due to spending time in the hospital.  A quick check not counting this year's bill, since I haven't received a bill yet, has cost me/insurance $371,400 in hospital bill's.  If you see me twitch every time Celebration is mentioned, now you have some background.

As for this year's Celebration, I need to find someone to replace me in my hotel so he won't get stuck with the whole bill.  If you know of anybody, please let me know.  Anthony is a good guy, and a mulitple trooper of year winner for the Golden Gate Garrison.

Ralph, my man, glad to hear you are out of the hospital.
I hate that place. If you can still front it goto CV,
and declare bankruptcy on the medical bills....

Or not.....

Looks like the hotel room is covered so I don't have to worry about Anthony getting stuck with the whole bill.  CV is totally out as much as I would love to go, I can take a chance of having complications with my pancreas while in florida or worst in the air flying to florida.

CD, hospital's are a great place to troop but I am tired of checking in!

I got a call back from the hospital yesterday and it sounds like my pancreas was acting up again.  Considering you only have and can't replace it, they have my full attention.  With a family history of pancreatic cancer I am a bit freaked out to say the least so with Dr.'s orders I am trying to get into a local clinic so we can get on a managed care since I don't have insurance.  My blood work is "within limits" right now but they just want to start keeping track of things.

Needless to say I'm going to do what I can to spend as much time with the kids this summer as I can doing local things, when I have the kids.  I don't intentionally aim to be such a flacky trooper, but I can't ever remember such a string of bad luck to fall my way. I'm not complaining because it could be worse.  I just hope to be able to get back to being able to contribute to the garrison soon because the garrison is the closest family I have other than Cody and Natasha.

dude, you need to take care of yourself first, and that means doing exactly what the Doc's tell you to do, but you already know that, you need to be healthy for your kids and for youself, the garrison will wait for you.

Exactly what I would say. Look out for yourself and your kids, that's what is really important
