Hi CCG & fans! I can't say how excited I am that the Garrison will be at 2010 OMSI Space Gala - this will make the Star Wars Bar a fantasy come true! If you're not sure what I'm talking about, the OMSI Gala (http://"http://www.omsi.edu/gala") is a fundraising event on January 23 to support science education. I hear the Rebel Legion will be joining the party too! Should I expect a conflict between the groups? :P - Michelle

Volunteering to spot. Can some one point me to more information on this event? The link, given by OMSI_Gala, leads to a deadend.

Thanks. However I recieved: "The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you."

I am willing to spot if needed

Hey guys, regarding the whole spotting thing, I am looking into it and should have an answer tomorrow.

oops. Thanks for posting the correct link Steve.
I hope you can all come to the Gala, spotting or no. 8)
We also have a facebook page where you can discuss the Gala. It'd be great if the Garrison could post some photos (http://www.facebook.com/photoselect.php?oid=168838082307) on the OMSI Gala facebook page: http://bit.ly/OMSIfacebook - People are getting really excited about Saturday!

I linked some pics to your "fan" section and then tried to write a wall post and link to the photo. It looks like the settings are locked down a bit too tight so we can't initiate posts, but only respond to posts that are created by the admin.

Those pics are awesome!! Thanks so much for posting!
That's strange that you couldn't post to the wall, I see you are a fan. The permissions are set that if you are a fan of the page, you should be able to post to the wall. I'll go ahead and post a photo to the wall for now.
When Facebook does let you post to the wall, they don't let you post a photo from your album to a page's wall by attaching a photo; instead you can "attach a link" of your photo http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=2962055&o=all&op=1&view=all&subj=168838082307&aid=-1&id=745232766&oid=168838082307 (http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=2962055&o=all&op=1&view=all&subj=168838082307&aid=-1&id=745232766&oid=168838082307).
ahh, technology.

For the spotters, is there going to be a dress code or is it the normal (or at least what I've worn at other troops), what about pictures taken at the gala of the CCG and RL

Since of the guests will be in semi-formal attire, all of OMSI's volunteers will be dressed up and we need to follow suit with out spotters. Normally I don't turn away spotters, but any of our spotters need to be dressed up - this is a requirement for this event. No T-shirts & jeans - nice shirts, pants & shoes please. If you are still willing & able to spot, please send me a PM because I still need to get some information from you.
