I really want to make a new costume for CV to compete in the costume competition. However, there are two costumes I want to make but only have the time and money to make one :(. They are both very detailed and intricate. I have never attempted something this big before  and would like to see what others think :).
The first one I am thinking about is the Coruscant Kimono from Ep. 1
Most of you know that Ep.1 is my favorite Star wars movie and I really love this dress.

The second is the Gold Travel Gown from Ep. 2. I am very attracted to this gown I think because no one has tried to replicate a movie accurate version because of the IMMENSE amount of embroidery the dress involves. Basically, the whole dress including the cloak is completely embroidered. I was playing with my machine the other night and found that it was capable of such a feat! Also the bronze headdress and purple cloak are GORGEOUS!

I hold each of your opinions with the highest esteem!

Both are cool, but I kind of dig the first one a bit better.
-
If you can pull off the Kimono I think that would impress any Judges more, both are great choices.
-
First one!
-
Both look incredibly detailed and impressive, but I have to agree with the others -- the Kimono would blow people away. That's one of the most memorable of her costumes, at least for me.
-
Katie, you should look over photos from the previous celebration contests just to see what other entries there have been.

I agree with the rest that the first would definitely be more memorable
-
I agree with the rest, the first one is where its "at"
-
the first one looks more complicated which would probably get you more nods than the second one
-
Oh my goodness! Thank you guys so much this helped a lot!!! Wow it's seems Ep.1 really is the coolest prequel! :D
-
They both look stunning, but how hot would these be? It is in Florida in August

She's young, she'll recover :D
I can't help but wonder what the planners were thinking by having it in the height of travel season in FL w/all the families on break. Oh well, hopefully #6 will be in Portland.. haha!

Atlanta In September wasn't to bad.....Florida probably won't be horrible either....but ???
Unfortunately our Venues, combined with Portland's population, aren't the best suited for such a large convention.
Best we could hope for is Seattle

FL should be avoided in August.. hot and humid! It's a good thing the fun is indoors. And yes, I was kidding about Portland hosting anything major.
Sorry for the hijack! Back on topic! 8)

This old hermit agrees with the majority, Coruscant Kimono from Ep. 1 would be AWESOME :D. Just hope your inside all the time with some AC with all that makeup and material on ........ol tony
-
I also vote for #1. :)

A month can make a huge difference. Atlanta's also about 6 hours north of Orlando, which can make a difference, too. Having lived in northern Florida for a few years and then Orlando for several months (including August) while I worked at Disney, I can promise you that it will be hot, humid, and packed with tourists. Just stay indoors and you'll be fine!

the first is beautiful, but my vote (the only one that REALLY matters... jk) is for the travel gown

Since the hotel I am staying at (Thank you Marjon!) is within walking distance I would put the makeup on when I am inside. Other than that, I will be roasty toasty warm! I will just drink ten or so bottles of water on the way over.
Did I happen to mention how awesome you all are? :dancechewie:

Yes. I know. Oh and I LOVE #1 I would be honored to have a photo with you, to add to the others!

Whoa! Yes, the first one is my pick! Yes, our hotel is very close and there is a covered walkway (read: out of the sun!!!) to the convention center!
