So while I was researching my snow scout I decided to look into the E web and was wondering if anyone had built one up here at CCG. Also, does anyone have access to a vac form table. I plan on making one, but have a project for next month that I want to finish sooner than later.

Matt once had, for sale even, some plans to make an E web. You can probably find those same plans on Blizzard force.
I have a vac table, as does rick, but I also have a resource for decently priced ABS.
Send me a pm on what you want pulled....

I am good for the E Web, I know how I want to build it I just didn't want to build one and someone else has one that is totally different looking.
On my up from California, aparrently at one of the reststops someone stole a couple of totes that were in the back of the truck and my Mando was in one tote my "snowy" project was in the other. I got some parts coming from MonCal but I need to repull a few of the mando parts that I still have molds for. I'll PM you as I get closer this becoming reality.

Tony,
Are you OK? I wish I had plans for an E-web.

cool, then I think I have a project to keep me busy the rest of the month.
-
This has been brought up before. I think there have been some of us who have contemplated on doing an E-Web ( I know I have ), but just never got around to doing it. I would have snaked those plans from Matt (ABNTroop) had I the funds to do so, at the time. I don't think Matt is in the Legion, anymore, as he sold off all of his costumes and props. But that is neither here, nor there.
I think it would be a great garrison project to work on. Maybe build a few of them as static props for pics with kids at events, and such.
On another note, you said mando... custom Mando? I am in the finishing stages of my custom Mando, as well. It would be cool to see more Mandos running around.

yeah the mando project is starting from scratch because apparently on my move up to Oregon a couple of months ago I had some totes stolen at a reststop in California(when ya gotta go,ya gotta go). They took a 99% complete mando and a 75% snowy project, so my goal before my daughter goes back to school is to complete a new mando.

I know how I want to build the E web and if everything goes to plan I can disasemble and store in a rubbermaid action packer. I also have some heavy duty casters that should make it paradeable (I know, not a word).
-
Sweet dude! I am almost done with mine. I actually need to fix my vest and I am to be approved as an official member of the Mercs.

A possable source (for information, etc.) might be Mylaw4U on the JRS boards. He is in the German Garrison (and 501st member) and he makes some kick @#$ (expletive modified) weapons. Bill you are helping me; with one of his creations. >>Back on topic<< Anyway he made a mini Gatling (Sp?) gun and his input may help.

My Mando is a heavy weapons specialist, so the E Web was going to be used with that suit also. Also plan on adding lights for a night parade I will be doing in California for the Niles Holiday Parade.
As I put the tutorial together and photograph the build I will be asking all for input. Like I said it will have to break down and fit into a 45 gallon Action packer.

My fault. I forgot to say that the mini Gatling was on a stand, much like the E Web. Here (http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj296/TI6815/STAR%20WARS%20Amory%20by%20Kai/P1010702.jpg) (<-Link) is what I am talking about.

I am going this route: pics from blizzard force website. Like I said earlier it will have to break down and fit in an action packer for transport.

One word describes it: epic! I can't wait to see the finished product.

The garage is clean, inventory has been taken so looks like I should be stating the build this weekend. Pics to follow- I am doing a WIP photo collage.

Awesome... can't wait!

Jabbasdead,
I may have a source of information, pics, for you. I have made a request, to someone I know, to see if I can get permission to let you see the pics.
-
awsome, look forward to hearing from you.

Here you go:
E-web (http://s157.photobucket.com/albums/t54/snowtrooperrefrence/E-Web/?start=20)
I looked at the pics and they are action shots from ESB. Hopefully you will get something from them.

Those are great, I never saw the picture from behind before. Thanks.

question for the R2 builders out there.... our R2 that we had for the Golden Gate Garrison had the ability to "smoke" which I think was a can of "air" that they somehow rigged. Any idea's on how to make my E web smoke, I was thinking about one of those halloween foggers but then I would need a power source. I have plenty of space in the cannon portion to house a fogger.
Maybe I can hook up a can of Raid to keep the wookie flea's down .
Build pictures to be posted this weekend.
-
If you are doing a power box, like what was attached to the E-WEB in the movie, you could easily set up the fog machine, an RV battery and power iinverter to do all that. It could all be safely concealed within the power box of the E-WEB setup. Of course that could get spendy as power invertors are what $70? and the RV battery can be just as much?
If there is access to an electrical outlet, you could still do the fog machine hidden in the power box. Since there was a big tube connecting from the box to the E-WEB, that would be a great conduit to transfer the smoke from the hidden fog machine in the box to the E-WEB blaster, itself.
Know what I mean?

I had 2 more thoughts, 1) I might be able to convert an aquarium fogger or 2) make the Top detachable so I could load dry ice and liquid into it. I don't know if the ABS would crack from the dry ice. Still thinking about it.
-
I wouldn't think so... I had dry ice in a plastic bucket, once, as a gag and I had no issues. I'm talking like one of those cheap $5 plastic buckets with the a lid and metal handle. I should think that ABS is a bit sturner stuff than that cheaper grade plastic.
Just a thought.

Well then I think I will make the top come off for reloading the dry ice and liquid. I am going to buy a block this weekend and see how long it lasts and how much liquid interaction is needed to keep "smoke" flowing consistantly.
