-
Need another spotter, If so I'm available as well
-
I can also spot if needed. Also I can be a back up Vader if Rick can't make it.
-
This filled up pretty fast! Looks like a fun event and sounds like a cool store that might actually get me to drive up to Clackamas more often than 0-1 times a year. :)
-
I visited the store at their old location this past saturday (june 20) and they said they were looking forward to a good turnout from both RL and CCG.
I would love to be able to officially attend, but I see there were only 10 spots.....I only joined this week and didnt know of the ccg list right away either....we need a facebook page to get info in an immediate fashion.....
Mark.

Yeah, they wanted to limit space - since they'd prefer to have their store full of customers instead of costumers :)
We keep this website, our calendar, and our forums very up to date - so now that you are on the forums you'll be in the know :)
I feel that having a CCG facebook or myspace, would pull people away from this, our official site... just my two cents.
Oh... and welcome to the boards

yeah, i agree paul. we have enough to keep tabs on with the CCG/RL sites. as far as dustins store, cant we be outside in the mall also?....ol tony

As far as in the mall goes - we have to abide by mall security rules while we are in the mall - ie no blasters no buckets - jedi's would be fine I imagine - I'd leave sabers holstered though

I don't think it is necessarily a bad thing for individual garrisons to have Facebook or Myspace pages. It is all about self-promotion and advertisement. Both of which are free on Facebook and Myspace.
Other (bigger) garrisons do it, too, and they don't seem to be having a problem with Facebook or Myspace pages from their sites... at least not as far as I can tell.
Recently, the Oregon FanForce has taken on having Facebook and Myspace pages. Anything to help promote the club can only be a good thing. Unless I am mistaken, itwas because of these other avenues that the OFF has gathered a new member, or two.
Just my opinion, but I wouldn't totally discount the benefit of having a Facebook or Myspace page....

Fan pages would be good for people who are fans of us that would love to comment on us but we point them to here for any info and such. ;)
-
Not to be a stick in the mud - but this thread is for questions pertaining to the posted event.
I know that I am to blame for the off topic chatter - ciz I started it - but let's get this thread back on topic.
If anyone wants to start an official myspace/facebook/etc lets get a thread up in a more appropriate place to discuss it

Where in Clackamas Town Center is the Star Wars Store and where will we met
-Scott
-
We will be meeting in the mall parking lot, not sure where in the mall their store is - when we have our group together the Store owners will com out and meet us, and take us into the Employee Tunnel System :)
-
Sounds good I'll will look for you, what side of the mall
-
Hello all, I see that the roster has already been filled so I was wondering if I could be on standby or something. I work like 10 feet away from where the store is (at the Verizon Wireless kiosk) and all my co workers were hoping to see me there. Sorry for the late notice but if there is room for 1 more I would appreciate it. Thanks.
-
Forgot to mention, since I work in the mall I can use my stores back room for changing and storage so I would not be taking up any additional space. Just another TK around for photos and stuff.

Robert, where have you been??? Glad to see you posting. PM Paul about this request. He is overseeing this Event. Have they set up Store front yet?? Is it a small store?
Peace, Allan

Hey Allan, good to hear from you too, The store is med size for the mall. The owners still have a black tarp up so you cant see in. I have talked to the owners quite a few times and even got a sneak peek inside. They are really looking forward to the 501'st being there, and just hearing the reaction from passers by, I think they will have a big turnout. The store used to be Illuminations, a candle shop. it is very dark inside, lots of dark brown and black.
Who is Paul, been out of the game a while. lol. I will try and contact him. I hope I can be a part of this, a lot of my friends are going to show up!
Talk to you soon.
-
sorry people, but im going to have to miss this one. my brother and sister bought me tickets for the seattle drag races all that weekend for my birthday. so someone can fill my spot :)..........old tony kenobi

Cool, thanks guys, looking forward to it. Let me know if there is anything else you need to know about the store or the mall, I have been working there for the past 4 years. The owners are there on a pretty regular basis.
-
If you guys are in need of another spotter, I would love to help out.
Will be a bit before my costume is ready for 501st review, so I would welcome any little bit I can be appropriately involved.

Rick , could you bring the Backdrop?? Tara requested it if you are able. Paul, it looks like this will be alot of fun.

About what time should those spotting show up?
Also, I won't be able to stay as long as I had originally thought. My mom dropped into town for the weekend, and there's just some things you don't mess with. :o
I'll be able to stay till noon. Hopefully that is still OK.

Thank you Starwarstore for having us and looking after us. It was a fun day and thank you for the Donation to Dorbechers. The lines were very organized and Mall security were great. Tara, We Wish all the best and success with your Venture. I also commend the Backdrop folks for your dedication and posing for Pictures, and Troopers that worked the crowds and lines. The Spotters for helping big time.
Peace, Allan
