Title: CCG ''movie night'' with Billy Jack
Post by: greedo on February 19, 2009, 04:34:29 PM: I've been talking about doing this for a while now, but I figured it's time to put it in motion.

for those of you that don't know about Billy Jack, listen up. He is a BADA$$!, he's the man, he's the ultimate kung-fu pimp. it was totally meant to be serious when it came out, but if you watch it now.........it's the funniest, most hilarious piece of work ever.

It doesn't have to be at my place, but I just want to see if there's any interest in getting together and watching it. maybe we can do a movie/armor party/ rockband party?

any thoughts or suggestions? let's make it happen.

We should still do a movie troop that Tony suggested, but maybe a Star Wars movie showing would fit better. UNLESS......... you guys want to leave the armor at home and bring your skin tight Wranglers and cowboy hats. it could be the first ever ''Billy Jack troop''.

by the way, that was a joke. ( unless you all want to,,,,,then it wasn't)

Emerald Comic Con is April 4th and 5th.

April 18th is the Roots and Wings Troop.

There are Troops March 7th , March 21st, March 28th.

The only free Saturday is March 14th. :wink:

Unless you want to do a Friday Night showing.

No the "Billy Jack" movies were an attempt to get in on the late Bruce Lee/ Early Chuck Norris
martial arts movie monopoly. Billy Jack, the character, was a native american, that knew kung fu,
or something, fighting the typical bad guy. The films were based in a modern time era, which
at the time I believe was the 70s.
