Title: Halo Fanfilm
Post by: Volund Starfire on May 09, 2008, 10:12:49 AM
After the last couple Armor Parties at Pepito's house ending with tournament Halo, I thought it would be fun to post a video I was sent on YouTube.

I've seen Star Wars fan films capture the essence of Star Wars...  This is the first Halo fanfilm I have seen that truly captures the essence of Halo.  Not to mention, I thought our Sandtroopers were gritty... not anymore.

These came out months ago.  These aren't fan films, these are shorts that were made as promo's for the release of HALO and sponsored by BUNGIE.  Ever since Guirmo del Torro decided to take on The Hobbit and Peter Jackson bowed out to direct, the studios have considered the person who put these together as a first time feature director because of what was accomplished here in a short time and low budget.

I didn't realize that Peter Jackson had bowed out of doing the Hobbit. I thought he was a genius for the way he did LOTR.

I thought this video looked familiar. This wasn't a bad piece to watch. I had almost forgotton all about it. It was cool to watch again.

I "think" he is still producing.  And of course Weta will be doing the Spec Effects.
